What you get
A .doc file that opens in Word, Google Docs and LibreOffice, with the text of each page in paragraphs and a page break between pages. Layout, tables and images are not rebuilt — this is for editing and reusing the words.
Scanned PDFs
A scan is a picture, so it has no text to extract. Convert it to images with “PDF to JPG”, then attach them to the assistant and say “read the text” — it reads English and Hindi.
Plain text
Choose “Plain text” for a .txt file, handy for pasting into e-mails or the word counter.

Will tables stay as tables?
No — table cells come through as lines of text. Complex layouts need a desktop converter.
Does it work with Hindi PDFs?
Yes, if the PDF has real text rather than scanned images.
Is it uploaded?
No, the text is extracted in your browser.
