Are my photos uploaded?
No. The whole tool runs inside your browser with the canvas API; the files never leave your device and there is no server to see them.
Which format should I pick?
WebP gives the smallest files for the web and every modern browser supports it. JPG is the safe choice for photos you will share on WhatsApp or e-mail. PNG keeps transparency and sharp edges for logos and screenshots but is much larger for photos.
Does it remove EXIF data?
Yes. Re-encoding through the canvas drops camera metadata, GPS location and orientation tags, and the image is saved already rotated the right way.
Can it open iPhone HEIC files?
Yes. HEIC photos are decoded in the browser with a small library that loads only when you drop one.
