Settings

Metadata (EXIF, GPS) is always removed. Leave width and height empty to keep the original size. Each file row has crop and favicon-pack buttons; a rename pattern uses {n} for a number and {name} for the original name.

Ready-made pages for form uploads

For the sizes that come up most, there are pages with the settings already chosen: compress an image to 20 KB for signatures and small photos, compress an image to 50 KB for application photos, and a passport size photo maker that crops to 3.5 × 4.5 cm. To change format, use HEIC to JPG for iPhone photos or JPG to WebP for websites. If the form wants a PDF instead, JPG to PDF joins photos into one file and Compress PDF brings it under the limit.

Choosing the settings

Quality decides how much detail JPEG and WebP keep; 75–85% looks the same as the original for most photos. Max width and height resize the picture, which saves the most space when a phone photo is far larger than it needs to be. A target size in KB takes over from the quality slider, finding the best quality that fits and resizing only when it has to. Pick JPG for forms, WhatsApp and e-mail, WebP for websites, and PNG only for logos and screenshots that need sharp edges or transparency.

Questions

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The whole tool runs inside your browser with the canvas API; the files never leave your device and there is no server to see them.

Which format should I pick?

WebP gives the smallest files for the web and every modern browser supports it. JPG is the safe choice for photos you will share on WhatsApp or e-mail. PNG keeps transparency and sharp edges for logos and screenshots but is much larger for photos.

Does it remove EXIF data?

Yes. Re-encoding through the canvas drops camera metadata, GPS location and orientation tags, and the image is saved already rotated the right way.

Can it open iPhone HEIC files?

Yes. HEIC photos are decoded in the browser with a small library that loads only when you drop one.
